At Thank God It's Fungi (TGIF), we would like to acknowledge and give gratitude to the traditional Indigenous owners and caretakers of the land on which we live, work, learn, and heal. The land we are situated on has been the traveling route, gathering place, meeting grounds, and home to various Indigenous Peoples (including the Blackfoot Confederacy, the Tsuut’ina Nation, the Stoney Nakoda First Nations, and the Métis Nation of Alberta); whose histories, languages, rich cultures, traditions, and deep connection to this land continue to influence the community. We pay our respects to the First Nations, Métis and Inuit ancestors and pledge our commitment to upholding healthy relationships, ethics, protocols, traditional knowledge, and cultural practices that reflect and pay tribute to the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action.
